What is
UMF Rating?

The UMF rating corresponds to the concentration of active antibacterial compounds of Methylglyoxal (MGO), Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) and Leptosperin within an honey sample.

A minimum rating of 10 UMF must be reached for a honey to be considered potent enough for therapeutic usage. The label of “UMF Manuka Honey” is only granted to those approved by the Unique Manuka Factor Honey Association (UMFHA). The UMF rating assures the purity & quality of the Manuka honey.
